The truth is, teams are inherently dysfunctional. To assume that we can bring people together, all with different backgrounds, cultures and values, and expect they will naturally work brilliantly well together is at best overly optimistic. But by embracing this basic truth, it can help teams to be proactive with team development, instead of reacting when problems arise.

In the modern workplace, people are often members of multiple teams, many of which include hybrid ways of working. The rate of change is faster than ever before, resulting in people feeling increasingly disconnected. To address this challenge, our team coaching is built around the metaphor of ropes. Each rope essentially represents a relationship, with every team member holding on to an individual rope with those around them. It’s important that these ropes are built, strengthened, checked, or at times, tested.
